அணிற்பல் எலி (Squirrel-toothed rat; அண்சோமைசு இமிடேட்டர்), நியூ கினி பெரும் எலி, சக்திவாய்ந்த-பல் கொண்ட எலி, சீரற்ற-பல் எலி அல்லது குறுகிய பல் பெரும் எலி[2] என்றும் அழைக்கப்படுகிறது. இது முரிடே குடும்பத்தைச் சேர்ந்த கொறித்துண்ணிகளில் ஒரு சிற்றினமாகும்.
கருகா கொட்டைகளை (பாண்டனசு ஜூலியானெட்டி ) உண்பதாக அறியப்பட்ட சிற்றினமாகும்.[3] இந்த எலிகளின் சேதத்தினைத் தடுக்கு தோட்டக்காரர்கள் மரங்களின் தண்டுகளில் மேடைகள் அல்லது பிற தடைகளை ஏற்படுத்துகின்றனர்.[4][3]
பெயர்கள்
தொகுஅணிற்பல் எலி, பப்புவா நியூ கினி கலாம் மொழியில் குடி-வ்சு அல்லது குட்ல்-வசு என்று அழைக்கப்படுகிறது.[5]
